BikeFlights is pleased to again partner with Pork Belly Ventures (Send My Bike) to offer you the best in RAGBRAI bike shipping and event concierge services. RAGBRAI is the oldest, largest and longest recreational touring bicycle ride in the world. Started in 1973 by Des Moines Register reporters John Karras and Donald Kaul, the event is a seven-day bicycle tour that goes across Iowa from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River with stops in overnight towns along the way.
BikeFlights’ flat-rate shipping service makes it easy to book shipping for your standard bike, e-bike, tandem or gear bag to and from RAGBRAI. Simply select one-way or round-trip shipping. Then specify your amount of Premium Protection; we recommend purchasing an amount to fully cover the current market value of your bike.
Need a bike shipping box? If so, please choose an option that includes a BikeFlights Bike Bike Large, and we’ll send a box directly to you, along with essential packing materials, prior to when you’ll need to ship your bike to RAGBRAI.
Your bike will get BikeFlights’ excellent bike shipping service on the way to and from RAGBRAI. We’ll email your shipping labels to you before it’s time to ship your bike, and we’ll schedule a pickup for your packed bike from the shipping address you input upon ordering.

Once your bike arrives in Iowa, it'll be well taken care of by Pork Belly Ventures. They’ll receive your bike and make sure it gets to the start where you can retrieve it on Saturday, July 23, 2022. If you also purchase assembly service, they’ll put your bike together for you. As part of this service, Pork Belly Ventures will transport your box or case from the start to the finish. After the event, Pork Belly Ventures will disassemble and pack your bike (if you’ve purchased it), and once packed, they’ll get your bike back on its way home to you via BikeFlights as long as it's received by Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 5:00 pm.

The BikeFlights Bike Box Large fits most road, gravel and mountain bikes, but does NOT fit tandems. Tandem shippers must provide their own box or case for shipping. You are responsible for ensuring you box or case does not exceed a shipment size of 165 inches (419 cm), does not have a length greater than 108 inches (274 cm) and does not weigh more than 150 lb (68 kg). If you ship a package exceeding any of these limits, you will be charged a carrier penalty of US$920, and your shipment may be stopped, delayed or returned to sender. Note: Shipment Size = L+ (2xW) + (2xH).
